Authors

It's so nice to see that most authors these days are so nice and down to earth. Most will add you to their friends list on facebook or myspace and actually take the time to talk every once in a while. Why can't more people be like this? I think it would help sell your product if you took the time to get to know your fans... or at least speak to them once in a while. To the authors that take their time to talk to others, I always make a special point to take time to check their stuff out and maybe even buy it. I figure if they can take time out to do this, why can't I?
Anyway, my point is, niceness works!

Life

Do you ever wonder what your life would be like if you had done one thing different in your past that would lead you to a different path? For instance, you meet someone and they change your life for the better or worse... or maybe if you didn't make that mistake that changed everything. Would you go back and change it if you could?
I've met some good people in my life and I've also met some horrible people. My mom and I had some friends that really did us wrong and it changed our path in life. I've also had my share of bad mistakes that changed the way I lived my life. I've thought so many times If I could just go back and change that mistake or If I had never met that person, things wouldn't be this way. I admit that sometimes I really do want to go back and try to change things... but at the same time, those wrong choices and mistakes made me the person I am today.
Sometimes life sucks and it knocks you to your knees. As much as we want to change the past, we can't. You can only brush yourself off and start again.
